Jay,  OMG you do have a way to go on the Kombi. But a labour of love once finished is a wonderful thing, I sold my rebuilt 1966 Triumph Bonneville a few years ago, it was painful but I treasure the photo more than the oil leak, irregular starting, the rebuilding in my bedroom and the money I lost when I sold it. So good luck and I watch with wonderment, joy and jealousy.

Since I took that pic, I've lowered her by about 200mm. The lowest part of her is only 135mm from the black stuff- very cool. I have hung the doors, and rubbed back the engine compartment, cab and dash ready for it's first coat of primer. As mentioned more pics to come.

lets hope so, by the end of the day its "take me home!" so maybe we get a beer in early- how about 9am just after setup.... I hope to see you on the water before then. I cant sail till 8 march doctors orders, (real doctor! not one from Fremantle!)

You could tempt me in a beer at that time of the morning but it’s highly unusual for me to drink that early on a non work day!
